Malcolm has been involved in spiritual growth for most of his adult life. Meditation and existential philosophies underpin his practice. The growing fields of Positive Psychology and Mindfulness are a rich vein of therapy possibilities that Malcolm has tapped with enthusiasm, to give added dimension to the standard deficit-based psychological therapies. His favourite quote is Gertrude Stein “The duty of the (patient-therapist) is to not succumb to despair but to find the antidote to the meaninglessness of existence”. This antidote is not a one-size-fits-all option, but is whatever works and can self-sustain without harmful consequences in a person’s life.
